Dr. Silverstein is a board-certified dermatologist who grew up on Long Island and trained at Stony Brook University, where he served as chief resident. He has now practiced in Suffolk County for more than 15 years and has grown a practice serving many patients and their families. He believes in a patient-centered approach in which each individual is given thoughtful and respectful attention.

The practice believes deeply in the importance of private practice and is in no way owned by or associated with any larger corporate entity or hospital group. Clinical decisions are made within the patient-doctor relationship—not by a corporate parent or hospital administrator. The patient-doctor relationship comes first, and every patient is seen by Dr. Silverstein. There are no midlevel practitioners, and you are not shuffled off to a different "provider" who doesn't know you each time you come to the office.

We value your privacy, and we will not solicit you. You will not be asked to fill out tacky online patient reviews or engage in unwanted patient surveys. We will not send you multiple text messages or emails. Your records are maintained in our private system and are not automatically exposed across a large institutional network. We share them only as needed for your care, payment, legal requirements, or when you ask us to.

We understand that you have a choice in whom you select as your physician, and we are honored when you choose us. We treat you with the respect you deserve, and we value your time. We generally run on or close to your appointment time, and we rarely cancel appointments on you. We know that your life is busy too and that you have other places to be. We want your visit with us to be the least important and time-consuming part of your day.
